My name is Audrey.

Good food has always been something I cherish, bringing me joy and comfort throughout my life. Over time, a growing compassion for animals led me to explore how to embrace a vegetarian lifestyle… without sacrificing the pleasure of eating well. Exquisito Vegetariano became my way of sharing that journey, creating recipes that prove you don’t have to choose between enjoying delicious meals and staying true to your values.

I’m French, but I’ve been living in Barcelona for years, where I’ve deepened my passion for cooking. What started as a strong personal love for food became much more than a hobby—it turned into my profession. Eager to develop my technical knowledge, I trained at a renowned culinary school here in Barcelona, where I learned the art of cooking and nutrition. Over the years, I’ve had the chance to work in professional kitchens in Spain and the UK, honing my skills and enriching my approach to food.

These days, my mornings are spent doing what I love at a local artisan bakery, making delicious breads and pastries. In the afternoons, I focus on sharing my recipes and reflections through my blog, hoping to inspire you with the same joy of cooking that inspires me.

There’s a common misconception that vegetarian or vegan cuisine is dull or lacking something, but I’ve discovered it can be quite the opposite.

Through Exquisito Vegetariano, I want to show that plant-based cooking is not only nutritious but also incredibly delicious, plain and simple. My recipes focus on flavor, indulgence, and variety. By enjoying these dishes, everyone can see that eating healthy doesn’t mean sacrificing taste or pleasure.

Many of my recipes also incorporate low-glycemic ingredients, so you can enjoy rich, comforting meals without worrying about gaining weight. In fact, many people around me often say they quickly feel lighter and healthier while still indulging in the variety and deliciousness of the dishes I create.

Over the years, I’ve received so much support and encouragement through Exquisito Vegetariano, and that’s what inspired me to keep it going, despite a… technical hiatus.

While this blog may seem brand new, I actually launched it back in 2010. What you’re seeing here is essentially version 2.0.

To keep it short, a few years ago, my domain exquisitovegetariano.com was bought by someone else (never forget to enable auto-renewal on GoDaddy, haha, or good luck!). My old Blogger account still redirects to that domain, which no longer belongs to me. I lost all access because my email was deactivated along with the loss of the domain.

A few years later, after trying unsuccessfully to regain access, I decided to go with the next best thing and rebuild the blog from scratch under the same name, but now with .org, which honestly feels more fitting for me than .com ever did!
